PORTISHEAD
'Port at the head of the river'
Portishead is a small town on the Bristol Channel Coastline. It is magnificently situated on a ridge with sweeping views of the Severn Estuary, the Welsh Coastline, both Severn Crossing Bridges, the islands of Flatholm and Stepholm to one side and the beautiful and scenic Gordano Valley to the other.
Follow the coastal footpath all the way to Clevedon, take a nature trail in Eastwood or Weston Bigwood. The town boast several Conservation areas, and walking guides of these are available from the local library or Town Council Offices.
